Fame! Fortune! An instant ticket to literary stardom! No, not really. But writing competitions are a wonderful way to receive feedback on your stories to help improve them. Here are some competition results since I entered the world of writing for┬ákids. I am a huge fan of each of the organisations behind these comps for all they do to encourage new writers and spread the kids’ book love:

  • 1st place (and another entry longlisted) – picture book manuscript competition, Greenleaf Press 2017
  • 2nd and 3rd place – picture book manuscript competition, Writers’ Unleashed Festival 2017

  • 3rd place (non-fiction picture book category), CYA Competition 2016
